Carol V. Bennett, 82, of Conneaut, passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at UHHS Geauga Regional Hospital. She was born August 16, 1935 in Conneaut, and was the daughter of Woodrow and Evelyn (Kidder) Nutter.

Carol was called “Mom” by everyone, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She bartended for many years at the Moonlight and the Conneaut Eagles Club #408, where she was a member, and also was a social member of the East Springfield V.F.W. She enjoyed acrylic painting, ceramics, crossword puzzles, cooking, and baking.

Survivors include her sons Scott (Sharon) Lindsay of N. Kingsville, and John (Carol) Georgia of FL; her brother Richard (Charlene) Nutter of Kingsville; step-daughters Angela (Robert) Heath of Madison, and Brenda (James) Bishop of FL ; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and nephews Wayne Nutter and Danny Nutter.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Richard Bennett; her son Gordon Lindsay; her daughter Denise Georgia; her sister Phyllis Nutter; grandson Gordon “Gordy” Lindsay; step-son Dan Georgia; 2 grandchildren at birth; step-grandson Craig Georgia; and honorary son Bob “Bizzy” Griggs.

Friends may call from 5:00 - 7:00 PM, Friday, September 15, 2017 at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut. Friends and family are invited to a gathering following visitation at the Eagles Club, 171 Main St., Conneaut.
