Charles R. Barnett, 54, of Conneaut passed away on October 22, 2017, at Saybrook Landing Health & Rehabilitation in Ashtabula surrounded by his loving family following a two-year battle with cancer.  A devoted husband and friend, he showed courage, strength, and a will to survive during a difficult time.

Born December 20, 1962, in Ft. Lee, Virginia, he was a lifelong Conneaut resident and 1981 graduate of Conneaut High School.  He recently retired from Grand River Rubber & Plastics in Ashtabula Township due to illness.  

A diehard Browns fan, Chuck also enjoyed family and friend times, camping at his camp site, and rock music.  He also did lawn work and household chores for several local ladies over the years and was always ready to help family or friends.

Survivors include his mother Joan (Webb) Barnett; his wife Angela (Arcaro) Barnett, whom he married November 10, 1986; uncle Clayton (Peggy) Webb; aunt, Janet Webb; mother and father-in-law, Joyce and Michael Brokos; and many cousins, in-laws, other relatives and friends.  Also surviving is his special friend, Donna Kauffman. 

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Robert and Bessie Webb; father-in-law, Henry Arcaro; and uncle, Dale Webb. 

No calling hours will be observed.  Graveside service is scheduled at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 28, 2017, at Glenwood Cemetery with Pastor Jan Walsh of New Leaf United Methodist Church officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Conneaut Food Pantry at the Conneaut Human Resources Center. Envelopes will be available at the cemetery and also the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, which has been entrusted with arrangements.
