John P. Hale III, 76 of Monroe Twp. died December 16, 2017 at the Ashtabula County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Kingsville, OH. He was born November 14, 1941 and was the son of John P. II and Mabel (Ingram) Hale.

John was Methodist by faith and had worked as a parts manager for Greenleaf Motor Express for 30 years, retiring in 2012. He enjoyed reading and traveling, especially taking bus trips.

John is survived by his loving wife Nancy (White) Hale whom he married on May 8, 1965. Together they have three daughters Diane (Thomas) Higgins of Canal Winchester, OH, Julie (David) Braden of Steele, MO and Kristen (Lyle) Walls of Orlando, FL; a sister Barbara Johnson of Raleigh, NC. Also surviving are 5 beautiful grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parent and a half-sister Marsha Huffman.

Funeral service will be held 11:00 am  Wednesday December 20, 2017 at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St. Conneaut, OH with Pastor Jan Walsh of New Leaf United Methodist Church officiating.

 Friends may call from 10:00 am until the time of service on Wednesday.

Memorial contributions can be made to Monroe Volunteer Fire Department. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

The Family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to the nurses and staff (especially C wing) at the Ashtabula County Nursing home for their kind and loving care they provided John for the nearly three years he was there following his stoke
