June M. Kesatie, 92, of Conneaut, OH, passed away Saturday evening, January 21, 2017, at The Villa At The Lake in Conneaut. She was born June 12, 1924, in Ogdensburg, NY, and was the daughter of Edward and Marion (Snyder) Lesperance.
June was a graduate of Conneaut High School and worked for 10 years as an inspector at General Electric Base Plant, retiring in 1953. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
June had a great love for animals especially her collie, Lance. She enjoyed bowling, driving family and friends to appointments, and generally caring for others. June also loved her 23 winters spent in Leesburg, FL, where she made a large number of friends.
Survivors include her husband Jacob E. Kesatie whom she married May 19, 1951; her sister Virginia Plosila of Conneaut; and several nieces and nephews including John (Madeleine) Plosila of Conneaut, Susan (Robert) Wallace of Conneaut, and Walter (Laura) Plosila of Queenstown, MD.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother in infancy.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM, Friday, January 27, 2017, at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, OH, with Rev. Patrick J. Van De Motter of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, officiating. Calling hour will be Friday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at 11:00. Following the service a luncheon will be held at the Marcy Family Center, 180 Harbor St., Conneaut, OH. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
