M. Arlene Devlin, 96, of Conneaut since 1957 and formerly of Albion, Pa passed away peacefully Saturday December 30, 2017 at the Villa at the Lake.  She was born December 8, 1921 in Springboro, Pa to Harry & Mercedes (Swaney) Lavery. Arlene was a 1940 graduate from Union High School in Girard, PA. Arlene then went to Gannon College in Erie, PA and received a Christian Doctrine in 1957.   She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Local & State officer of the Catholic Daughters of America, Co-founder of Conneaut Mended Heart Society, St. Mary’s Ladies Guild.  She enjoyed taking her 1951 Chevy to car shows, playing cards, sewing, boating, camping in their Airstream, traveling, St. Mary’s bingo and being with family and friends.  Survivors include her nieces and nephews, Shirley Hall, Terry (Debi) Lavery, David (Pat) Lavery, Douglas (Mary Ann) Lavery all of Girard, Norman Taylor of FL,  Patricia Holley of TX, Charlene (Henry) Uhr of TX & Calvin Redden of Lake City, PA and many great nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Muriel Devlin; two daughters infancy, Theresa & Colleen Ann; siblings, Eugene, John Lavery and a sister, Josephine Taylor; step children, David Devlin & Darlene Pine.  Mass of Christian Burial will be 12:00 Noon Friday January 5, 2018 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church,  480 State St., Conneaut, Ohio 44030 with Fr. Philip Miller presiding. The family will receive friends from  11:00  am until time of the mass at the church.  Burial will take place in St. James Cemetery, Crossingville, PA.  In Lieu of flowers, Contributions may be made to St. Marys Catholic Church Improvement Fund, 480 State St., Conneaut, Ohio 44030.
