Mildred Y. Blake, 92, of Conneaut passed away Sunday, December 10, 2017 at the Ashtabula County Nursing Home. She was born January 23, 1925 in Conneaut, Ohio to John and Gertrude Turner.  Mildred attended Mt. Sinai School of Nursing. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Brown Memorial Auxiliary, and volunteered at the 50/50 Barn.  She worked for Brown Memorial as an RN until her retirement in 1987. She loved taking care of babies at the hospital.  Mildred enjoyed reading, crocheting, traveling, her pets and being with her family.  Survivors include her children, David (Barbara) Blake of Lambertville, MI, Gary (Carol) Blake of Monroe Twp., Steven (Barbara) Blake of Whitehall, Ohio, Rebecca (Dean) Parks of Holland, Ohio; grandchildren, Kimberly Singleton, Amanda (Bryan) Guerttman, Erin Parks, Brian Parks, and Daniel Blake; great-grandchildren, Elliot, Kareem, Kylie, Owen, Eva, Katelynn, and Madelyn; brother, J. William (Margaret) Turner of Ballston Lake, NY and good friend, Terri Church.  She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Gordon Turner.  A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.  Burial will take place in City Cemetery, Conneaut.  Contributions may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 1166 Lake Ave., Ashtabula, Ohio 44004 or the 50/50 Barn scholarship fund at Conneaut Hospital thift shop, PO Box 194, Conneaut, Ohio 44030.  Please sign the guestbook at www.marcyfuneralhome.com.
