Robert E. Marshall, 95, of Sheffield Township, passed away Saturday, July 29, 2017 following a brief illness at the Ashtabula County Nursing Home. He was born April 17, 1922 in Cleveland, OH, and was the son of James and Sarah (Teutsch) Marshall.

Mr. Marshall graduated from Ashtabula High School in 1941, and enlisted in the US Army Air Corp serving during WWII. He then went to work with the Ashtabula Water Company retiring after 43 years.

He was a member of the Sheffield Grange and the Power Squadren. He volunteered for the American Red Cross and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his loving wife Ruth E (Neuckle) whom he married November 15, 1941 in Ripley, NY., sons Tim (Cheryl) Marshall of Sheffield Township, Robert (Karen) Marshall of Pierpont, and Alan (Michele) Marshall of Kingsville; his daughter-in-law Rochelle (Skeeter) Marshall of Shefflied Township; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son James “Jack” Marshall in 2010; his brother Albert Marshall; sisters Dorothy Mason, and Patricia Hommes; and his in-laws.

Funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, August 3, 2017 at Gageville United Methodist Church, 4063 St. Rt 193, with Pastor Terri Simpson officiating. Burial will follow in Gageville Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the American Legion Cowle Post #151.

Friends may call from 5-7 PM, Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at the Marcy Funeral Home, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut.
