Shirley D. Carlson, 67, of Kingsville, passed away Wednesday evening, June 21, 2017. She was born August 9, 1949 in Conneaut, and was the daughter of John and Dorothy (Reinke) Joslin.

Mrs. Carlson worked for A-Tech as a secretary for several years, retiring February 28, 2017. She was a member of the West Springfield United Methodist Church, taught Sunday School and was a past choir member. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband Richard Carlson, whom she married October 7, 1978; her son Brian (Kelly) Carlson of Conneaut; her daughter Kelly (Herb, Jr.) Kelly of Conneaut; grandchildren Gavin, Bailey, Maci, Grace, and Herbie; her sister Beverly (Marshall) Rickard of Kingsville; and her brothers Jack (Donna) Joslin of Erie, and David (Mary) Joslin of W. Springfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her maternal and paternal grandparents.

Funeral service will be 12:00 PM, Saturday, June 24, 2017 at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., with Rev. Robert Klingler former pastor of West Springfield United Methodist Church, and relative Linda Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Kelloggsville Cemetery, Monroe Township.

Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at noon.
