Shirley A. (Coates) Cooper

Shirley A. Cooper, 91, of Conneaut, Ohio passed away Wednesday April 11, 2018 at Lake Pointe Nursing & Rehab in Conneaut, Ohio.  She was born May 13, 1926 in Conneaut, and was the daughter of Rolla & Margaretta (Green) Coates.  Shirley was a 1944 graduate of Conneaut High School, and had lived in Canada for thirty years before moving back to Conneaut.  Shirley was a member of New Leaf United Methodist Church, Tops Club in Canada and Conneaut A.M. Tops.  She loved to bowl, paint, work on puzzles, loved cats, canning, and being with her family.  She also enjoyed shopping with her daughters, planning & attending family reunions.   Shirley had a great sense of humor and love to have a good time.  Shirley was employed by various factories in the area.  She retired from Webb Manufacturing.  Survivors include her children, Sandy (David) Anderson of Monroe Twp. and Cindy (John) Lynch of Conneaut; grandchildren, Chris Anderson, Jeff (Betsy) Anderson, Mike (Pam) Anderson and Jeremy Anderson; five great-grandchildren; her best friend since school, Twila Morrison of Conneaut, Andy and Mary Campbell of Conneaut and good friends in Canada, Jack and Jean O’Brien and Rose Babcock; along with many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband and father of her daughters; Carl Sebetich, daughter, Carol Lynn Sebetich and her second husband Kenneth Cooper, also two brothers, Edgar and Duane Coates.  The family would like to express their gratitude for the wonderful care she received while living at the Lake Pointe and also under the care of Hospice of the Western Reserve.   Graveside service will be held Friday July 6, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, North Kingsville.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Marcy Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, Ohio 44030.  Please sign the guestbook at www.marcyfuneralhome.com
