Heidi Sobanski

Heidi was just a precious gift to us.  We live on a dead-end street (with Tinkers Hollow bridge closed) and about 13 years ago this pup just showed up in our yard. Our daughter Raechel was so excited and we took her in to be with our 2 Golden mixed pups Taz and Frankie, her brothers. Not too long after we took her in, Gary and I went on a 4-wheeler ride down to Tinkers and saw 2 adult dogs that I swear were her parents. So, I think someone dumped a whole family of dogs on our street and Heidi found us. She was an amazing dog and never failed to somehow get on the counters for some treats or other kinds of trouble. One time I walked out to the dining room and she was literally standing in the middle of the dining room table. Her nickname was Sparky because she could run like a bullet around our back yard. After Frankie and Taz passed away, we got Hannah to keep her company because we didn't want her to be lonely without her brothers. She was always so good to her new sister.

Just recently she started having seizures and we took her to our vet and all her tests came out fine but it was obviously neurological. She was 13 years old and we did everything to keep her as comfortable as we could, giving her seizure medicine every 8 hours for the past 5 months. Well last night was a major seizure and Gary held her for over an hour and we comforted her while she went over the Rainbow Bridge. I called Kori and she came and took Heidi in style (just like she did for Frankie and Taz) and we are so grateful for Marcys. Heidi will be in our hearts forever and I thank everyone for their prayers, hugs, and love. I swear losing our fur babies is way harder than our humans sometimes.
