Barbara R. Madonna, 91, passed away Monday morning, August 26, 2019 at the Villa at the Lake. She was born January 12, 1928 in Conneaut, and was the daughter of Henry and Ethel (Clark) Arp.
Barbara owned and operated her own ceramic shop SamBar Ceramic Shop with her husband Sam Madonna, whom she married August 2, 1947, and loved dancing and taking trips to the casino. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include her daughters Cathy (Bob) Workman of Tucson, AZ, and Lori (Rich Woodworth) Stevens of Conneaut; grandchildren Chad (Kori) Campbell of Conneaut, Sarah (Joseph Tima) Campbell of Lakewood, Stephanie Workman Phillips of Tucson, AZ, and BJ Workman of Tucson, AZ; great-grandchildren Devyn Zappitelli and Collin Campbell of Conneaut, Campbell and Kennedy Phillips of Tucson, AZ; her sister Carol (Larry) Usher of Alpharetta, GA; and her daughter-in-law Chris Madonna of Hoschton, GA; and brother-in-law Vincent Madonna of Tucson, AZ.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Salvadore “Sam” Madonna who passed in 2017; her sons Michael J. Madonna in 2016, Mark Madonna in 1956, two infant sons at birth; and her brothers Richard and Lee Arp.
Funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Friday, August 30, 2019 at the Marcy Funeral Home, 208 Liberty St, with Tim Kraus of the Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5-7PM, Thursday, August 29, 2019, at the funeral home.
