Carlene B. McBride, 84, of Conneaut, passed away peacefully, early Friday morning, May 4, 2018. She was born February 4, 1934 in Conneaut, and was the daughter of Carl and Carrie (Dalrymple) Knauff.
Mrs. McBride worked for the former Astatic and was a member of the Amboy United Methodist Church. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, boating, the outdoors, bowling, and golfing. She volunteered for the 50/50 Barn, and helped with the Band Boosters, the PTA, and was a member of the Mother’s Club while her children were growing up.
Carlene was a devoted wife and mother and loved to spend time with her family. Most of all, she was a cherished grandmother and would do anything for her grandchildren, they were her world.
She is survived by her husband James McBride, whom she has made her home with for 66 years; her sons Robert (Annette) McBride and Jeff McBride, of Conneaut; her grandchildren Matthew, Mitchell, and Macey McBride of Conneaut; and her Brother-in-law Dan McBride, Jr. of Silver City, New Mexico.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved granddaughter Marla McBride; her brothers Russell and Lyle Knauff; and her brother-in-laws Richard and Donald McBride.
Funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, May 10, 2018, at Amboy United Methodist Church, 550 W. Main Rd., Conneaut, with Pastor Betsy Schenk officiating. Burial to follow in East Conneaut Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5:00 until 8:00 PM, Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, which is honored to be handling arrangements.
