Dylan R. Case, 18, of Conneaut, passed away December 13, 2018 at his home. He was born June 9, 2000 in Conneaut, and was the son of Isaac Case and Kari (Osborne) Case.
He was a 2018 graduate of Conneaut High School where he played football. Dylan had a deep love for music, whether it was making music or just listening to it, most of all he loved his family and his friends.
For the last two years, Dylan had battled depression. He never believed anyone could help him and the demons he had fought for so long took over in the early hours of Dec. 13. 2018. His family is heartbroken that he didn’t feel anyone could help him. They plead with anyone who is suffering from depression to please seek help, reach out or talk to a friend, and know you are loved. Survivors include his parents Kari (JJ Petz) Case of Huron, OH and Isaac (Michelle Smith) Case of Conneaut; brothers Brady, Macen and A.J. Petz of Huron and Michael Williams of Conneaut; Sisters Danielle Williams and Dylan Snow of Conneaut; maternal grandparents Jeff Rhodes, Michelle (Rich Lane) Gray, JoAnne and Jerry Petz; paternal grandparents Linda and Edward Gaugh; maternal great-grandmother Barbara Gray; paternal great-grandmother Bertha Sheldon; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and distant relatives.
Calling hours will be 1-3 PM and 5-8PM, December 20, 2018 at the New Leaf United Methodist Church, 110 Gateway Ave., Conneaut.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM, December 21, 2018, at the New Leaf United Methodist Church with Rev. Scott Walsh officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery.
The family requests that any contributions be made to the Ashtabula County Mental Health and Recovery Services Board to assist in helping children and adults battling depression. Envelopes will be available at the church and also at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, which has been entrusted with arrangements.
