Eleanor May Ingram, 90, of Conneaut, passed away peacefully Monday, June 19, 2017. She was born, May 29, 1927 in North East, PA, the daughter of Leo Griswold and Margaret (Beatty) Crosby.

Eleanor attended Amboy United Methodist Church, Springfield Senior Center, WIMAREN Social Club for wives of Merchant Marines. She was active with Amboy PTA, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and Conneaut Historical Society.  Eleanor enjoyed crafting, canning, gardening, and baking, especially her famous zucchini bread.

Survivors : daughters Sharry (Robert Manis) Ingram, Judy (Dick) Harvey, Susie Bond, Gail (Jim) Randolph,  sons: Dave (Dorothy Brainard) Ingram, J.P. (Cheri) Ingram, Hugh (Tammy Thompson) Ingram, and Bart Ingram; sister, Kathy Steiner; sister-in-law More Crosby; brother-in-laws Richard (Cynthia) Ingram and Dewey (Linn) Ingram; Grandchildren: Chris, Shannon, Dan, Jill, Wes, Jason, Tina, Heather, Holly, Heidi, Jodie, Kelly, Traci, Robbie, Kevin, Christa, Shannua, Jayson, numerous great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death her husband, Edgar John “Slim” Ingram; parents and step-father Bing Crosby, daughter Margaret “Mags” Hogle, brother James Crosby, and sister Mary Grace Slater.

A Memorial picnic will be held from 5-9  PM, Friday, June 30th, 2017 at Conneaut Township Park, Upper Pavilion, 480 Lake Rd.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be in Eleanor’s honor to the Conneaut Historical Society, 501 Sandusky St. Conneaut, OH 44030.  Envelopes will be available at the picnic and Marcy Funeral Home, which has been entrusted with arrangements.
