Jean M. Allds, 93, of Conneaut, OH, passed away Monday morning, August 27, 2018, at Lake Pointe Rehabilitation & Nursing Center. She was born February 10, 1925, in Conneaut and was the daughter of Roy W. and Mary (Sisson) Miller. A 1942 graduate of Rowe High School, Jean attended St. Luke’s School of Nursing in Cleveland and later earned her Bachelor’s degree in Education from Edinboro University. She taught first grade in the Ashtabula School district, and also was a bus driver and aide at Happy Hearts. Jean enjoyed swimming, gardening, and reading. Her interest in genealogy prompted her to become a charter member of the Ashtabula Genealogical Society, and she was also a member of the Conneaut Area Historical Society. Survivors include her daughter Beth Anthony of Conneaut; her son Brian (Carol) Allds of Conneaut; three grandchildren, Craig Anthony, Suzanne Anthony, and Brianna Allds; and a great grandson Eric Hambach. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Marion T. Allds in 1989; a sister Dorothy; and her brother Robert Miller. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, September 1, 2018, at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut.
