Kenneth R. Kamppi, Sr., 71, of Conneaut, passed away Sunday afternoon, February 18, 2018. He was born July 30, 1946 in Springboro, PA, and was the son of Edwin and Mary (Rendulic) Kamppi, Sr.
Kenneth was a Merchant Marine and sailed on the Great Lakes. He worked for Ashtabula Bowsocket, before becoming the floor supervisor for Andover Industries.
He was a member of the Conneaut Moose Lodge, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and being with his family.
Survivors include his daughters Khristina Kamppi of Conneaut, and Karen (Mike) Johnston of Conneaut; his sons Kenneth (JessieRuth) Kamppi, Jr. of Conneaut, and Thomas Kamppi of Rome, OH; his step-daughter Rosie (Joel) Longstreth of Espyville, PA; his brother Edwin (Janet) Kamppi, Jr. of N. Kingsville; 17 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren, with 3 more on the way.He was preceded in death by his parents; and his infant great-grandson Jonathan. Private services were held.
