Kenneth L. Roberts, 92, of Chardon, OH, formerly of Conneaut, passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2017, in Chardon, OH.  He was born January 5, 1925, in Conneaut, and was the son of Robert C. and Eva (Lane) Roberts.

Ken graduated in 1943 from Rowe High School and enlisted in the U.S. Navy. After the war, he married Doris Sayre Roberts, and was employed at The Pittsburgh & Conneaut Dock Company retiring in 1987.  He was a member of the former East Conneaut United Methodist Church, American Legion Cowle Post #151, V.F.W. Post #2836, and Evergreen F& AM #222.  He enjoyed gardening and being with his family.

Survivors include his son Rexford S. Roberts of Chardon, OH; and two daughters Lynn Schultz of Colorado Springs, CO, and Anne Mantini of Charleston, SC.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Doris in 2005; two sisters Gertrude Richer and Eva Johnson; and two brothers Jerry and Clinton Roberts.

Graveside service with military honors by Cowle Post #151, will be at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, August 19, 2017, at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, North Kingsville, OH.  Rev. David Anderson will officiate.  There will be no calling hours.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 300 E. 185^th St., Cleveland, OH 44119.  Envelopes are available at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, OH which is serving the family.
