Kristopher A. Smith, 28, of N. Kingsville, passed away early Thursday morning, August 8, 2019 at his home. He was born November 27, 1990 in Riverdale, Georgia.
Kristopher was “Superman” and a very strong young man. He was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 14 months and spent 7 months in the hospital. When he came home, they gave him 3 months to live. With the love of his family, but most of all, the strength, courage, and love of his mom, he was able to live another 27 years.
Kristopher loved taking trips to the beach, watching Discovery Shark Week, National Geographic, Animal Planet, and listening to classical music, especially Andrea Bocelli. Most of all, he had a great love for family.
Survivors include his mother Sondra with whom he made his home; his father Kevin of Leesburg, VA; his brother Kevin (Charlene) Smith, II of Akron; his sister Kayla Smith of Leesburg, VA; his maternal grandparents Richard and Diane Saylor of Conneaut; his uncle Scott (Kristine) Saylor of Chesterfield, VA; his aunt Sherri Stiltner of Williamsfield, OH; his niece Olivia Smith; and many nurses who became family over the years.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Estelle Robinson and Lawrence Smith.
Funeral service will be 5:00 PM, Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, with Pastor Jan Walsh of New Leaf United Methodist Church officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 3:00 PM until the time of the service at 5:00.
