Leon E. Emerson, 91, of N. Kingsville, passed away Saturday October 14 ,2017 at the Ashtabula County Nursing Home. Leon was born December 14, 1925 in W. Springfield, PA, the son of John and Mary (Dilley) Emerson.  Leon retired from the State of Ohio Department of transportation on January 1, 1988. He was a member of State Line UMC and the Jefferson Grange.  He enjoyed Bluegrass Festivals and traveling.  Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Reba (Johnson) whom he married on September 17, 1974; children, Karen Como and Roland Emerson both of Ashtabula; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; siblings, Carol, Elma, Audrey, Joyce and Calvin.  He was preceded in death by his parents, children, Cheryl, June and Jeff; siblings, Arnold, John and Alice.  Funeral will be held Noon Saturday October 21, 2017 at the Marcy Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, OH with Pastor Sheila Brooker officiating.
