Lorenza “Gene” Toddy, age 79, passed away Thursday, October 19, 2017, at the Ashtabula County Nursing Home, Kingsville, OH.  He was born January 13, 1938 in Leechville, Arkansas, to Phillip and Havanah (Hart) Toddy. Gene was in management at Webb Manufacturing, Conneaut Can Company, and Crawford Container. Following his retirement in 2001, he and his wife, Lora, spent 10 years snow birding in Haines City, FL.  He loved the outdoors and sports, and was an avid hunter, fisherman, snowmobiler, camper, and golfer.  He attended New Leaf United Methodist Church. A dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, he is survived by his wife Lora (Turner), whom he married on December 6, 1958 in North Springfield, PA; children Kathy Kemp of Chantilly, VA, Karen (Dan) Tuleta of North Olmsted, OH, and Randy (Jody) Toddy of Wadsworth, OH; grandchildren Erin and Alli Kemp, Danny Tuleta, Kayte (Chris) Gorksi, Matthew (Kristie) Toddy, and Megan (Taran) Brar; and great-granddaughter Odessa Toddy.  He is also survived by sister, Shirley Church, and many nieces and nephews.  Gene was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Nadean Holmes and Velinda Vesely; and brothers, Marvel, Carson, John and Jerry Toddy.  Calling hours will be from 2:00-5:00 PM Sunday October 22, 2017 and Monday from 10:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM at the Marcy Funeral Home, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut.   Burial will be in East Springfield Cemetery in East Springfield, PA.  Following the graveside service, a celebration of life luncheon will be held at New Leaf United Methodist Church, 110 Gateway Ave., Conneaut.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Alzheimer's Association, P.O.
