Mary F (Fassnacht) Rebera Brockway

Mary F. “Butchie” Rebera Brockway, 70, of W. Springfield, PA, passed away Thursday afternoon, March 7, 2019. She was born December 12, 1948 in Ashtabula, OH, and was the daughter of Jean (Shepard Post) and Manny Fassnacht.

Mary worked for Conneaut Leather and Orlando Brother’s Golden Dawn. She was a member of the American Legion Cowle Post #151, the Conneaut Moose Lodge, a life member of the Eagles Lodge #408, and a life member of the VFW Auxiliary #470 in Erie.

Mary was an advocate for Life Bank and organ donation, as she herself, received a transplant in 1995. She was an avid Elvis fan and enjoyed doing ceramics for many years.

Survivors include her daughter Marlo Rebera of Ashtabula; her sons Jeff Rebera of St. Petersburg, FL, and Brandon Brockway of Conneaut; her grandchildren Steven Hill, Tyler (Ariel) Hill, Jade Sponaugle, Anthony Rebera and Mason John Brockway; six great-grandchildren; her sisters Susan (Jim) Atzemis of Ashtabula, Linda (Butch) Waldo of California, and Mallissa (Carl) Vincent of _Ashtabula_; and her special companion Gary Stucke of West Springfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son John M. Rebera, Jr. in 2003; and her brother William Fassnacht.

Honoring Mary’s wishes, no services will be held. A celebration of life will be held at a later date at the convenience of her family.

Contributions may be made in Mary’s name to Toys for Tots. Envelopes will be available at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, which has been entrusted with arrangements.
