Phillip G. Warren

Phillip G. Warren, 87, of Conneaut, passed away Thursday morning, December 26, 2019 at Uh Conneaut Medical Center. He was born July 15, 1932 in Conneaut, and was the son of Wallace and Ezma (Hunter) Warren.

Phillip entered the United States Army and served as Staff Sergeant during the Korean War. He worked as a machinist for RPC Valve and was a 35 year member of the Church of God. He was an avid reader of the Bible, enjoyed word searches, fishing, and coached the kids during their adolescent years.

Phillip and his wife Shirley were inseparable until her passing in 1985. Any time spent with his family was irreplaceable. They enjoyed sled riding, playing kick the can, corn roasts, playing cards and horse shoes, and just being together. 

Survivors include his children Debi (Bill) Furgeson of Cape Coral, FL, Wendy (Rodney) Betts of N. Kingsville, Steven (Debbie) Warren of Conneaut, Phillip (Sue) Warren of Conneaut, and Jeffery (Beth) Warren of Jefferson; grandchildren Zachary, Kristen, Kyle, Mandy, Jeffery, Christopher, Joshua, Cassandra, Madison, Charleen, Cheryl, Richard, Johnna, and Jennifer; nine great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; his brother Albert Warren of Conneaut; and numerous nieces, nephews, and more distant relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Shirley (Distelrath) Warren; brothers Henry, James, Wallace, and Robert Warren; and his sister Kathleen Frigic.

Funeral service will be 12:00 PM, Tuesday, December 31, 2019, at the Church of God, 5327 Center Rd., (Rt. 7) Conneaut, with Pastor Carson Robson officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the American Legion Cowle Post #151.

Visitation will be at the church Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at noon.

Contributions may be made to the Church of God. Envelopes will be available at the church and also at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, which has charge of arrangements.
