Sherry A. Allums, 56, of Conneaut, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, March 21, 2018. She was born February 19, 1962 in Euclid, OH, and was the daughter of Robert and Carol (Span) Manfredonia, Sr.
Sherry was raised Catholic and had attended Kelloggsville Church of the Nazarene. She was an active member of the Elevation Drug Awareness Team and an advocate for those suffering with substance use disorder. She had a love for the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting, flower gardening and landscaping, taking pride in helping her elderly neighbors care for their lawn.
In recent years, Sherry helped with the fundraiser “Loose Change for Leukemia” at the Braden Middle School in memory of her grandson Dylan.
Her life was not always easy after her children, grandson, and mother passed away, but she stayed strong and positive, helping others with encouraging words.
She married the love of her life, Roy, on June 20, 1993 and was proud to be his wife for almost 25 years.
She is survived by her husband; son-in-law Brian Christian; father Robert Sr.; brother Robert (Diane) Jr., all of Conneaut; sisters Rose Bishop of Conneaut, Dawn (David) Huntley of Conneautville, PA, and Jennifer Gaugh of Ashtabula; Grandchildren Alexander, Julia Lynn, Lillian Marie, Justin Jr., and Joseph Allums; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, more distant relatives; and many close friends.
Sherry was preceded in death by her mother Carol; her children Tarrah Christian and Justin Allums; and grandson Dylan Christian.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM, Monday, March 26, 2018, at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St, Conneaut, Ohio. Burial will follow in Kelloggsville Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-4 PM, Sunday March 25, 2018.
