Sue C. Quinn Howard

Sue Quinn Howard passed away on March 16th at the age of 78.  She was living at the time in Westlake, Ohio at Devon Oakes Nursing Home. Sue had lived her entire life in her childhood home on Amboy Road before suffering a stroke 4 years ago.  Sue loved the outdoors, gardening and caring for her horses, dogs and cats.  She was last employed by Midtown Motors until her retirement when she met her husband Arnold Howard.  Together they were very active in the community, including the Conneaut Historical Society and the Model A Club.  During her years in the nursing home Sue was comforted by her niece, Debbie Hakala Hronis, who visited her almost daily.  Sue is survived by her sister, Charleen Quinn Hakala, and several nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Howard; parents, P. Charles Quinn & Susanna Quinn; siblings, James Quinn, Patricia Hayes and Muriel Todd.  Service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday April 4, 2018 at the Marcy Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., with Pastor Jan Walsh officiating. Calling hours will be held from 10:30 AM until time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery, Conneaut.  Those who may wish to donate may do so to Sue’s favorite charity, Conneaut Historical Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
