Alex M. Kohlman, 18, of Conneaut, passed away Monday, March27, 2023. He was born June 5, 2004 in Conneaut, the son of Kevin and Tiffany (Burdick) Kohlman.
Alex graduated from Conneaut High School in 2022 and attended Erie Institute of Technology. He was scheduled to graduate in June and set to begin his internship at his grandpa and uncles’ business Burdick Plumbing and Heating with aspirations of taking over the family business one day.
Alex worked for Castaways and was a member of Corpus Christi Parish. He loved summertime, being on the lake, jet skiing, fishing, and having campfires with his friends. He was a great athlete and loved football, soccer and track.
Survivors include his parents Kevin and Tiffany; his sister Olivia Kohlman; grandparents Cindy Bihlajama, Duane (Chery Brunell) Burdick, Sr., Cynthia (James) Campbell, all of Conneaut, and Jack (Ellen) Kohlman of White, PA; great-grandmothers Ruth Burdick and Mary Ellen Lauer; aunts Tanya Burdick, Carrissa (Lynda) Bihlajama, and Julie Bihlajama; uncles Duane (Janie) Burdick, II. Eddy (Mary) Bihlajama, Tim (Teacha) Campbell, and Kyle (Julie) Bihlajama; cousins Jenn, Emma, Tyler, Aden, Ella, Taylor, Helana, Jill, Trenton, Kyle, Alexa, Liam, and Julie.
He is also survived by several great aunts, great uncles, more distant relatives, and numerous close friends.
He was preceded in death by his step-grandfather Eugene Bihlajama; great-grandfathers Richard Burdick and James Lauer; and great-grandparents Walter and Evelyn Kohlman, Glen and Marlene Hopkins, and Dick and Lola Campbell.
Funeral service will be 10:00 AM, Monday, April 3, 2023 at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut with Father Philip Miller officiating. Entombment will follow in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, North Kingsville, OH.
Visitation will be 1:00-5:00 PM, Sunday, April 2, 2023, at the funeral home.
