Angela Marie (Pape) O'Dell

Angela Marie (Pape) O’Dell, 44 of Greenville, South Carolina passed away peacefully on June 23, 2025 at Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC. She was born on August 28, 1980, Albert P. and Mary Lou (Anderson) Pape in Conneaut, Ohio.

She was a 1999 graduate of Conneaut High School and later moved to Panama City Beach, Florida. Then relocated to Greenville South Carolina after the recent hurricanes and worked as a Customer Support Representative for Copart Corporation.

Angela had a love for life, riding her motorcycle, boating, playing bingo every Tuesday and sharing her winnings with her son Devon, binge watching Netflix with a bowl of popcorn, dining at nice restaurants especially Italian Cuisine, going on ice cream dates or having a “it’s a get lost type of day” driving around with her husband Steve if things were stressful or having health issues come up, playing cards and being with friends and family. But her most cherished time was being with her two sons, they were her world, and she wanted to always be with them.

She is survived by her husband Steven of Greenville, SC whom she married January 19, 2002 and he was by her side the entire time while in the hospital and  along her medical journey.; her two sons Austin Pape of Panama City Beach, FL, and Devon O’Dell of Greenville, SC; mother Mary Lou Pape of Conneaut, OH; sister Michelle (David) Lewis of Conneaut, OH; aunts Sheila (Dave) Jury and Paula (Ron) Roberts all of Conneaut, OH; uncles Gary (Melanie) Pape of Conneaut, OH, Phillip (Lynn) Pape of Kingsville, OH, Hugh Hillyer of Conneaut, OH, Jerry (Susan) Anderson of Conneaut, OH; nieces Rylee Lewis, Cloe Lewis and Alexis O’Dell; nephews Alex (Jessica Volkman) Pape and Zac Lewis; great nephews Kyler and Asher Pape; numerous cousin and more distant family and those who she known to as Auntie; and her beloved dog Rex.

Angela was preceded in death by her father in 1990 who also passed from HCM a congenital heart disease at the age of 34; maternal grandparents Lois and Robert Shumake and Alfred Anderson, paternal grandparents Grace and Albert A. Pape; twin siblings in utero; aunts Paulette Hillyer and Patricia Anderson and Uncle David Anderson.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be 3:00PM, Monday July 14th, 2025 at the First Congregational United Church of Christ, 211 Buffalo St., Conneaut, OH 44030.

Memorial Contributions can be made in Angela’s memory to the Albert P. Pape Memorial Scholarship Fund or First Congregational United Church of Christ. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and the church.
