Barry D. Auxier

Barry D. Auxier, 72 of Jefferson, passed away December 14, 2024. He was born February 23, 1952 in Salyersville, Kentucky, the son of Herbert Auxier and Betty (Simms) Slocum.

Barry was a hard worker, working in many factories throughout his life. He co-owned a nursery many years ago and was very talented in lawn and gardening. Barry found his love for God after meeting his wife Renee and found his true calling. Barry attended the Church of God in Conneaut, Ohio and volunteered all his free time helping wherever he could. Barry left many cherished memories in all his children and grandchildren who are going to miss him very much.

Left to cherish those memories are his wife, Renee Auxier; daughters Barri June Ayoub of Michigan, DeAnna Pahel of Ashtabula; sons Ronald Garcia of Michigan, William Auxier of N. Carolina, and Sean Auxier of Conneaut; stepchildren Nicole Taylor of Conneaut, Zachary Honkonen of Conneaut, and Matthew Honkonen of Maryland; two daughters he treated as his own Tammy from Pennsylvania, and Tina from Michigan. Also Surviving are his siblings Ernest Auxier and Kenneth Auxier, both of Ashtabula, his sister Jessica Ray from Kentucky and many grandkids who he loved very much, especially his sidekick Ben.

He was preceded in death by his parents Herbert Auxier and Betty Slocum, uncles; stepson Michael, and niece Jennifer Auxier.

Barry is at peace now and reunited with his mother who he dearly loved and missed.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
