Bertha M. (Taft) Sheldon

Bertha M. Sheldon, 90, of Conneaut, passed away Wednesday morning, February 9, 2022. She was born August 23, 1931, in Pennline, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Wood and Eva (Fails) Taft.

Bertha worked for 22 years as a nurse’s aide at Brown Memorial Hospital in Conneaut, retiring in 1988. She enjoyed camping, traveling, going to casinos, and family get-togethers.

Survivors include her daughters Bonnie (Charlie) Moore, and Linda (Ed) Gaugh, both of Conneaut; her stepdaughter Nancy (Steven Sr.,) Anderson of Florida; her stepson Jack Wagoner of Conneaut; her son-in-law Kenny McDonald of Conneaut; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchild; and her special friend and caregiver Peg Lowery.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Arnold L. Sheldon; her daughters Patricia Pratt, and Becky McDonald; great-grandson Dylan Case; great-granddaughter Khris Kamppi; five sisters, and four brothers.

Funeral service will be 12:00 P.M., Monday, February 14, 2022, at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery,

Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service at noon on Monday.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Bertha’s memory to the Conneaut Food Pantry, 327 Mill St., Conneaut, OH 44030. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
