Carl Anthony, Jr. Obituary

Carl  “Junebug”  Anthony,  Jr. 84, of Conneaut, passed away Monday March 4, 2024 at Lake West Hospital in Willoughby.  Born May 22, 1939 in Conneaut, Ohio, he was the son of Carl and Dorothy (Mucci) Anthony, Sr.

He served in the United States Army obtaining the rank of Specialist Four before being honorably discharged.

Carl retired from Ferro Manufacturing. He holds one U.S. Patent and is listed on the Who’s Who in Technology Today.

He enjoyed walking on the beach, he was the favorite of all dogs he encountered, as he spoiled them with treats. Carl loved to spend time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years Maryann (Ballo) whom he married on June 30, 1962     children, Carla (Greg Way) Anthony and Gina Lane; grandchildren, Hayley and Benjamin Lane; siblings, Bob (Anita) Anthony, Marie (Toby) Workman, Donna (Gene) Jarvi, Judy Hubenko, Gordon Anthony, and Dave (Barb) Anthony.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Michael and son in law, Michael Lane.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM  Saturday  March 16, 2024 at St Frances Cabrini Church, 744 Mill St., Conneaut, with Fr. Philip Miller presiding.  Please meet at church.

Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery where the Conneaut American Legion Cowle Post # 151 conducting military honors.

In Lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the church.

The arrangements have been entrusted to the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut.
