Carol Jean (Ryan) Silis

Carol Jean Silis, 82, of Conneaut, passed away Saturday morning September 20, 2025 at UH Conneaut Medical Center. She was born January 11, 1943 in Girard, PA, the daughter of Olin and Pauline (Frank) Ryan.

Carol graduated from Union High School in Girard and worked for General Electric for 30 years, retiring in 1999. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, past member of the Conneaut Fish & Game Club and enjoyed knitting, reading, playing bingo, sitting by the fire with a cup of coffee, camping, traveling, and going to church on Sundays.

Survivors include her daughter Kimberly (Mark, Sr.) Dietrich, of Conneaut; sons Kevin (Lesa Denton) Silis of Seattle, WA, and Chris (Becky) Silis of Conneaut; grandchildren Brittney, Megan and Matthew; great-grandson Beckham; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband George Silis in 1993; and her brothers Robert and Thomas Ryan.

Funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Monday, September 29, 2025 at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, with Pastor Chris Steel of First Assembly of God officiating. Entombment will follow in Greenlawn Memory Gardens Mausoleum, North Kingsville, OH.

Visitation will be 3:00-5:00 PM, Sunday, September 28, 2025 at the funeral home.
