Charles J. Golembiewski, 61, has gone to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He lost his battle with esophageal cancer on February 21, 2021. Beloved son of Patricia Ann DeSantis and step-father Michael J. DeSantis, Charles was born in Erie, Pa on November 23, 1959.
Preceding him in death is grandfather, Walter L. Golembiewski, grandmother, Helen L. Golembiewski and half-sister, Margarita Patrice Roschnow.
Charles was a responsible man and one of integrity, always leading by example. He loved his family and his dogs and made sure everyone was well taken care of. He enjoyed gardening and sitting outside by a fire with loved ones. He enjoyed fixing things around the house and doing remodeling. For thirty years he established a winter camp for friends. Charles enjoyed a round of golf with his sons. First time he went out at the age of 14 to play golf, at the Glenwood Golf Course, he got a hole in one…after that he was hooked. As a teen he worked at Nunzi’s Restaurant and was a caddie at the Kahkwa Club. He was a carpet installer for Baumann Brothers and also worked for Penn Dot from where he retired.
Left to mourn his passing is his wife, Dinah Lundgren Golembiewski, whom he married on April 22, 2016; stepchildren, Luke, and Sam Lundgren; other members of his family who will miss his presence are sons, Nicholas, Michael, and Doug; grandchildren, Parker Leigh, Kayla Sky, Casey Ann, Ethan Curtis, Drew Ann, Constantine, and Madalynn, and brothers Richard and Robert Golembiewski. Step-sister Debbie DeSantis Shaw, and stepbrother David DeSantis; nieces and nephews Aria Shaw, Gabby Golembiewski, Leeanna Golembiewski, Zach DeSantis, Keith Golembiewski and Lyric Ester.
