Charles W. Risley

Charles W. Risley, 91, of Kingsville passed away Wednesday June 3, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family.  He was born October 19, 1928 in Kingsville, Ohio.  He was the son of Walter & Elizabeth (Miller) Risley.

He served in the US Army as a medic during WWII before being honorably discharged.  Charles retired in 1986 after thirty-six years of service for Linde Air formerly Bell Transit.

He enjoyed boating, camping, basket making, woodworking, carpenter work and wintering in Land O’ Lakes, FL for twenty years.

He was a seventy year member of Orion Masonic Lodge #353 and a sixty-five year member of Orion # 12 OES in which he was Worthy Patron in 1962.  He taught basket making at Camp Stigwandish and was a member of the Ashtabula Power Squad.

Survivors include his wife of seventy-two years, Leah (Hawn) whom he married on September 18, 1948; children, Greg Risley, Bradley (Tracey) Miller Risley, Denise (Tim) Cole and Debra (Danny) Coy; grandchildren, Emily, Garrett, Morgan, Andy (Jeanne) Cole, Christopher (Jennifer) Cole, Mike (Becki) Cole, Cristy (Robert) Huey, Aaron (Anya) Coy and Brandy (Gene)  Miller; great-grandchildren, Madeleine, Aliana, Kelsea, McKenzie, Addison, Jacob, Betsy, Ava, Ace, Allison and Ella; siblings, Jim Risley, Russell Risley, Bette (Les) Gustafson, Myrna Kay Brillant and step sisters, Leah Gray and Ellen Weir.

He was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter’s, Brandy Coy Miller and Stacy Cole, brother, Richard Risley and son in law, Tim Cole.

At Mr. Risley request no calling hours or services will be observed.
