Chris L Hicks Sr

Chris L. Hicks Sr., 70 of Conneaut, OH., passed away January 14, 2024 in Cleveland at the David Simpson Hospice House. He was born August 9, 1953 in Conneaut to Lloyd and Helen (Puffer) Hicks.

Chris graduated from Conneaut High School and served in the United States Navy. Following his discharge from Navy he worked construction until becoming disabled later in life.

In his earlier years, he enjoyed hunting and going to camp where he would cut countless truckloads of wood with his father. He was a hard-working man. He had a love for antiques and kept himself busy doing crossword puzzles. His greatest enjoyment was being with his grandchildren who he loved so dearly.

Survivors include his grandchildren Breelyn Hicks, Cane Hicks, Jacob Hummer, and Ashley Hummer; great granddaughter Skilyr Grace; sisters Cheryl (Harold) Deemer of Warren, OH, Cecelia Erdman of Wellsburg, WV., and Connie Carpenter of Conneaut, OH and a brother Craig (Kelli) Hicks of Greensboro, NC., And many nieces, nephews, and more distant family.

Chirs was preceded in death by his parents, wife Nadine Moore, two sons Chris Jr and Jon Hicks, and granddaughter Skilyr Hicks and his sister, Cindy Schatz.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 5:00-8:00 PM Wednesday January 17, 2024 at the Conneaut American Legion Cowle Post #151, 272 Broad St., Conneaut, Ohio 44030.
