Chuck “Red” Hunt, 76 of Conneaut passed away Monday February 21 , 2022 at his home after a three year battle with cancer. Born April 27, 1945 in Conneaut, he was the son of John and Frances (Grace) Hunt.
Red was a 1963 graduate of Rowe High School. After graduation he joined the Navy serving from 1964-1969.
Chuck retired from First Energy the former CEI as a mechanic at the Ashtabula plants.
Red belonged the Conneaut Moose, Eagles and the American Legion Cowle Post #151.
He enjoyed traveling, fishing, woodworking and tinkering with lawn tractors. But most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife Loretta (Braden) whom he married October 31, 1973; children, Carrie (Wayne) Boggs, Bobbie Jo (Jerome) Conner, Scott Richards all of Conneaut; grandchildren, Brittany, Morgan and Payton (Paula) Boggs, Joshua (Shian) Godwin, Alexis, Bailie and Nicole Conner; great-grandchildren, Eddie Dick, Jaxson Gibson, Harper Boggs, Joshua II and Jeanette Godwin, Paisley and Parker Boggs, Brock and Brynn Richards and several nieces and nephews whom he all loved very much; sister Millie (Frank) Orsini of Erie, PA., sister in law Donna Braden, brother in law David (Julie) Braden all of Missouri; sister in law Kathleen Hunt of Conneaut.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Robert and Leo Hunt and his sister-in-law, Rita Hunt.
No services will be held at Red’s request.
