Cody Lee Dean

Cody Lee Dean, 21 of Jefferson, beloved son, brother, grandson, uncle, and friend to all, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday March 2, 2021.  He was born September 27, 1999 in Ashtabula, OH, the son of Richard & Karen (Wilson) Dean. 

Cody was a graduate of Jefferson Area High School and A-Tech Power Tech Program, Class of 2018, and was a member of the Falcons Drumline.

Cody loved life and played as hard as he worked, recently employed by Petro’s Services. He loved his job, family, and friends with everything he had. When he wasn’t working, he was truck pulling, motocross racing, circle track racing and riding his side by side (buggy). He had a passion for anything with wheels and a motor.

Survivors include his parents, Rich & Karen (Wilson) Dean of Dorset; sister Kayla (fiancé Aaron Flavell) Dean; niece Brynlee Flavell of Jefferson; grandparents Herb & Judy Dean, of Dorset & Randal and Connie Wilson of Geneva; several aunts, uncles, cousins and his loved Pitbull pup, Brutus.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents

Funeral service will be held 10:00 AM Monday March 8, 2021 at the Jefferson Church of the Nazarene, 55 East Satin St., Jefferson, Ohio 44047.

Calling hours will be held 3-7 PM, Sunday March 7, 2021 at the Jefferson Church of the Nazarene, 55 East Satin St. Jefferson, Ohio

Face coverings are mandatory and social distancing will be observed.

Burial will follow in Dorset Cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Cody’s family, envelopes will be available at the church and also at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, which has been entrusted with arrangements.
