Dale V. "Red" Drew

Dale V. “Red” Drew, 69, of Conneaut, passed away July 2, 2020. He was born May 4, 1951 in Conneaut and was the son of Carlton and Vilah (Chapin) Drew.

Red worked for the Conneaut Port Authority and loved the lake and boating, he also worked for the Bessemer Railroad as a foreman retiring in September of 1997. He was a member of the Conneaut Eagles Lodge and also the Conneaut Fish & Game Club. He volunteered for the Red Cross and at the Kremer Home, and enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, traveling to South Carolina, and being with his family and friends.

Survivors include his children Christopher Drew, Darcie (Greg) Gibbs, and Dale (Holly) Drew, II, all of Conneaut, and Ashley Drew of Columbus; his grandchildren Ryan, Kyle, Nick, Jayden, and Madison; great-grandson Wyatt; brothers Carl Drew, Lance (Deborah) Drew, Rick (Becky) Drew, Alan (Jenny) Drew, and Dennis (Rachel) Drew.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Gary Drew; niece and nephew Jaime and Aaron.

Graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, July 7, 2020 in Glenwood Cemetery. Please meet at cemetery

Calling hours will be from 5-7PM Monday July 6, 2020 at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, which is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.

The family has requested that with the current Covid-19 pandemic, that everyone attending visitation to please wear a mask, social distancing will be observed.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory or Dale “Red” may be to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
