Darlene D (Ferry) McCann

Darlene D. McCann, 88, of Kingsville, passed away Friday morning, September 26, 2025 at UH Conneaut Medical Center. She was born November 08, 1936 in Warren, PA, the daughter of Leo and Doris (Marks) Ferry.

Darlene attended Millcreek High School. She was a hard worker and worked many jobs such as waitressing, cleaning, and sewing for a studio in Erie. In 1969 She opened her own hair salon Darlene's Hair Fashions. In the late 70's she was the office manager at Conleys in Kingsville and worked until they closed. In 1997 she worked alongside her daughter at U-Got-The-Look in Conneaut helping with bookwork and continuing to do hair into her 70's. Darlene was a member of Edgewood Alliance Church. She loved camping and traveled many places with family from Maine to Florida in the numerous campers. She was a great skater and did a lot of it in many skating rinks in the area. She enjoyed bowling and was in many leagues at Kings lanes. She was a skilled seamstress with making everyday clothes to fancy wedding dresses. She was a master at crocheting making many dolls, baby clothes, and various blankets for people.

Survivors include her daughters Cynthia (Ron) Zook of Mercer, PA, Kathleen (Rich) Cusano of Conneaut; and Cheryl (David) Hogle of Conneaut. Grandchildren; Shane Hogle, Trisha (Mike) Ezzone, Jonathan (Katy) Cusano, Denny (Melanie Olivarez) Musgrave; Dewayne (Katrina) Musgrave, Diana (Darius) Musgrave, and Deborah (Harry) Baldwin; numerous great-grandchildren, one-great-great-grandson; her twin sister Arlene Gilsson of Erie, PA, and her brother Glenn (Diane) Ferry of Cambridge Springs, PA. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Gary McCann; her sister lla Jeffries; and her brothers Ron and Alvin Ferry.

In keeping with Darlene's wishes, private services will be held, and entombment will be held in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, N. Kingsville, ОН. Friends and family are invited to gather from 2pm-5pm at the Marcy Family Center, 180 Harbor St., Conneaut, Wednesday, October 1, 2025 Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123. Envelopes will be available at the Marcy Funeral Home, 208 Liberty St. Conneaut, which is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.
