Dave R. Field, 75, of Conneaut passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday January 31, 2024 after a recent illness. He was born and raised in Fairview, PA, the son of Rodney and Lillian (Worden) Field.
He graduated from Fairview High School and went on to Edinboro University where he received his B.A. and Master’s degree. He taught school in Angola, NY for three years and then was a plant manager at Webb MFG for 18 years. He then went on to work for Alcoa in Springboro, Ohio, then American Weather Seal in Winesburg, Ohio until he retired in 2005.
Dave and his wife of 55 years returned to Conneaut in 2022 hoping to enjoy his love of deer hunting. He also after retirement found a talent for carving wood mantles, and other items that were sold in stores in Holmes County.
Survivors include his wife Sandy (Dusicsko); daughters, Kirstie (Jim Ryan) Field of S. Pasadena, CA and Trista (Charles) Hayes of Canton, Ohio; four grandchildren, Trevor and Megan Hayes, James and Ava Ryan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rodney and Lillian (Worden) Field, younger brother, Denny.
No services will be held. A private celebration of life to be held at a later date.
The arrangements have been entrusted to the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut.
