David Bogar Obituary

David W. Bogar, 80, of North Kingsville, passed away Sunday morning September 8, 2024 at David Simpson Hospice House in Cleveland. He was born May 4, 1944 in Kingsville, the son of William and Lucille (Hinkle) Bogar.

David graduated from Edgewood High School in 1963 and was drafted in the United States Army. After his honorable discharge, he worked for 42 years as a chemical operator at Millennium.

He was a member of the American Legion Post #743. He loved traveling, enjoyed going to concerts in the parks with his wife, going to car shows, being outside doing yard work and gardening.

Survivors include his wife Carol (Gaede) Bogar, whom he married in 1975; his daughters Dawn (Jeff) Burns of Sharpsville, PA, Karen (John) Gumm of Port St. Lucie, FL, and Pamela (Steve) Pendleton of Ashtabula, OH; sons Keith (Karen) Bogar of Placerville, CA, and Kevin (Lisa) Bogar of Westlake, OH; eleven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and his brother Paul (Diane) Bogar of Ashtabula, OH.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Jim Bogar.

At David’s request, no services will be held. The Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.
