David C. "Iggy" Smock

David C.  “Iggy” Smock, 66, of Conneaut passed away unexpectedly Thursday March 7, 2024 at UH Conneaut.  Born November 17, 1957 in Youngstown, Ohio   he was the son of George and Shirley (Vogan) Smock.

Iggy retired after forty years from Lake City Housing in PA.

He enjoyed taking his wife and grandkids out on the motorcycle, taking the grandkids to the creek to go swimming, canoeing and fishing.  He liked working with his hands.  A perfectionist, and always willing to help anyone.  He loved his family and his puppies and was a great pap to all his grandbabies.

Survivors include his wife Judy (Naylor) whom he married March 8, 1990; children, Greg and Jeff Anderson, and Valerie (Mike) Hall; three grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and one great greatgrandchild; siblings, Butch (Becky) Smock, Kenny Smock, and Linda (Dave) Martin and Chrissy Smock.

He was preceded in death by parents, son James Anderson, and niece Cia Brocklehurst.

Calling hours will be held from 5:00-7:00PM Tuesday March 12, 2024 at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, Ohio.

No funeral will be observed.
