Donald R. Bambarger

Donald R. Bambarger Sr., 81, of Conneaut, OH, passed away July 7, 2023, surrounded by his family, after a short battle with cancer. 

Don grew up in Snow Shoe, Pa, son of Groffery and Dorothy (Williams) Bambarger.  Don also lived in Ohio and Florida, but always considered Pennsylvania his home.

Don owned Father and Son Construction; carpentry was his passion.  He was one of those people that could do basically everything and was good at it all.  Don loved old cars, especially Mopars. 

Don is survived by the love of his life, Lola (Shadeck) Bambarger, his children, Don (Linda) Bambarger, Jr.,  of Albion, PA, Meleah (Chris) Pustalek of South Bend, IN, Colette (Paul) Baker, of Chapel Hill, TN, Mike (Melissa) Bambarger of Conneaut, OH, Michele (Chris) LaFlamme of McKean, PA, and Shane Bambarger of Geneva, OH; 24 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Russ Bambarger, and Patricia Seprish of Snow Shoe, PA and numerous nieces and cousins. 

Don was preceded in death by his parents; in-laws Charles and Gussie Shadeck of Karthaus PA; brother Greg; and grandsons Donald R. Bambarger III and Shane Bambarger. 

At Don’s request, there will be no public services, a family service will be held. 

Donations in Don’s memory can be made to cancer foundations and/or Conneaut Wesleyan Methodist Church.  Envelopes are available at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, OH 44030, which is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.
