Donald A. Wadsworth

Donald Arthur Wadsworth, age 90 of Monroe Center, passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2024.

He was born May 4,1934, to the late William Wadsworth and Eleanor (Alice) Priddy Wadsworth.  On April 17,1971, he married Nancy Simmons Towne who survives in Conneaut.

He is survived by his children, Doug (Jackie) Wadsworth of Beaufort, SC.  Reid (Debbie) Wadsworth of Monroe Center, Luke (Diane) Wadsworth of London, OH, Tracy (Jim) Flore of Celina, OH, Renee (Jim) Dunn of Conneaut, Robin (Tom) Donnelly of Albany, OH, Rita Alrich of St Augustine, FL and Rick Towne of Palo, IA and a brother-in-law, Frank Simmons. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, previous wife Patricia, brother Robert Wadsworth, a daughter Dore Gill and son Randy Towne.

Donald retired from Premix Inc as a Tool & Die Production Foreman. He taught tool & die apprentice at the Joint Vocation School in Jefferson. He spent many hours on his Ford tractor brush hogging and mowing lawn.  He enjoyed spending time pulling tractors and was a member of the Northwest PA Truck and Tractor Puller Association.  Don was a member of Monroe United Methodist church for 52 years where he spent many years involved in a leadership role. He and his wife were lifetime members of the Covered Bridge Committee and spent many summers pulling the mini covered bridge.  He was known for his love of ice cream, Mountain Dew and a good conversation.

Funeral service will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, October 12, 2024 at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at 1:00 PM.

Contributions may be made to Monroe United Methodist Church of Gideons International. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
