Doris A. Lattimer, 92, of Conneaut, passed away Sunday evening, August 1, 2021. She was born June 9, 1929, in Conneaut, the daughter of Lee and Blanche (Steffler) Joslin.
Doris was a graduate of Rowe High School. She worked for Western Union as a manager and then was a dispatcher for the Ohio State Highway Patrol from 1972 until her retirement in 1996.
She was a member of the former East Conneaut United Methodist Church where she was finance chair and choir member. She volunteered at the Conneaut Thrift Shop and was a member of the Ashtabula Genealogy Society and the Conneaut Historical Society. In her earlier years, she loved to participate in artistic roller skating. She enjoyed watching birds and feeding them, cake decorating, shopping, and traveling, especially to Hawaii. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her daughter Pamela Smith of Ashtabula; her grandchildren Todd Smyth of North Olmsted, OH, and Sara (David) Faircloth of Lebanon, MO; great-grandchildren Alaina and Alexander Smyth, and Ethan, Elizabeth, and Annabelle Faircloth; niece Beverly Rickard of Conneaut; nephew Jack Joslin of Erie, PA; great-nieces Teri Bittner of Painesville and Sally Bittner of Mentor; close friends and caretakers Tammy Curtis, Kayla Curtis and Sally McCroskey all of Conneaut, and Judy Booth of Ashtabula; and her sweet poodle Precious.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving companion of over 20 years Donald Carducci; brother John Joslin; nieces Nancy Bittner, and Shirley Carlson; and nephew David Joslin.
Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M., Friday, August 6, 2021, at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut. Burial will follow in East Conneaut Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service on Friday.
