Doris L. Warriner, 88, of Monroe Township, passed away Saturday evening, April 1, 2023, at The Villa at the Lake in Conneaut. She was born August 31, 1934, in Monroe Township, the daughter of William and Dorothy (Mathews) Magill.
Doris grew up in Monroe Township with her parents and two sisters. Doris and her sisters were very close. They enjoyed playing with their dolls and outdoors on the family farm. She loved visiting with her grandparents and extended family. Doris loved school and was the valedictorian of her class in 1952.
She married Alfred Warriner in 1955, and they had three beautiful daughters. She worked at the Astatic and in the accounts payable department at Brown Memorial Hospital. In later years, she was a member of the Conneaut Quilters Club. She enjoyed sewing, photography, bird watching, swimming in her pond, and at the YMCA. She enjoyed going on vacations with her daughters and visiting lighthouses. Doris's home was where everyone came to celebrate holidays and birthdays. Doris was very involved in her grandchildren's and great-grandchildren's lives and loved spending time with them. Doris was kind, loving, and compassionate, always putting others before herself. She always made sure her family had what they needed. Doris was very loved and will be missed.
Survivors include her daughters Sylvia Town of Ashtabula, Rosanne Warriner, and Laura (William) Ross, both of Monroe Township; grandchildren are Jared Town, Miriah Kister, Ashley Szalai, Rachel Richards, Christian Schultz, Haleigh Giovengo, Andrea Leap, Justin Cole, and Tracy Cole. She had eight great-grandchildren and her sister Ruthie Williams.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Alfred Warriner, and her sister Evelyn Estes.
The funeral service will be 12:00 pm Thursday, April 6, 2023, at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, where the family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of service.
Burial will follow in Kelloggsville Cemetery, Monroe Township, OH.
