Dorothy (Goodwin) Bergman Kelly

Dorothy Kelly, 88 North Kingsville, OH., passed away peacefully on January 31,2025 at The Whitewood Assisted Living facility where she had spent the last two years of her life with declining health in North Canton, OH. She was born November 11,1936 to Conner and Bertha (Horsley) Goodwin in Tannery, Lewis County Kentucky.

She was a member of the Conneaut Church of Christ where she was a devoted parishioner serving her Lord and Savior where she helped with funeral meals and part of Autumn Leaves. She enjoyed volunteering and collecting glass and china bells, along with Cherished Teddy Bears.

Dorothy worked years in the banking industry beginning her career with Portsmouth Banking, then Liberty National, Farmer’s Bank and Society Bank which today is known as Key Bank where she was recognized for taking great care of customers and retired in 1996.

She is survived by two sons David (Rebecca) Bergman of Middleburg Hts, OH., and Keith (Mary) Bergman of North Canton, OH., grandchildren Caitlin (Kyle Schiber) Bergman, Emily (Mark Kurtz) Bergman, Sydney Bergman and Alyssa Bergman; one great grandson Nelson and a sister Esther Crisp of Wheelersburg, OH.

She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Robert Bergman in 1988, her second husband Edgar Kelly in 2007; sisters Gladys Curden and Goldie Fannin; brothers Homer, Leo, George, Lovell and Otha Goodwin.

Funeral Service will be 1:00PM, Friday February 7,2025 at The Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, OH. 44030 who has been entrusted with her arrangements.

 Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Garden, North Kingsville, OH with her first husband.

Visiting hours will also be Friday, from 11:00 until the time of service at 1:00PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to the Conneaut Church of Christ 448 Main St., Conneaut, OH 44030. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
