Dorothy L. (Summers) Makynen

Dorothy L. Makynen, 79, of North Kingsville, passed away Monday, March 15, 2021 in Lake City, PA. She was born September 2, 1941 in Conneaut, the daughter of Roy and Eva (VanGorder) Summers.

Dorothy worked for Mag-Nif for several years and enjoyed playing cards, puzzles, diamond dots, crafts, and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her daughters Joanne (Greg) Evans of Springfield, MO, and Patricia (Robert) Johnson of Conneaut; her grandchildren Christina Evans, Kyle (Charissa) Evans; great-grandson Gunner Evans; brother Victor Summers of Conneaut; and her companion Foster Luzier of North Kingsville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband James Makynen; brothers Donald, Harold, Roy and David Summers; and her sister Esther Penniman.

Private family funeral service will be held in Greenlawn Memory Gardens Mausoleum Chapel with her son-in-law Greg Evans officiating.
