Dorothy M. (Hathaway) Myers

Dorothy M. Myers, 85, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2023 at David Simpson Hospice House in Cleveland. She was born February 25, 1937 in Conneaut, Ohio, the daughter of Paul and Alice (Swap) Hathaway.

Dorothy was a lifelong resident of the Conneaut area where she graduated from Conneaut High School in 1955. She belonged to First Assembly of God Church in Conneaut until she moved to Andover in 1996 where she faithfully attended Penn Line Church of Christ.  

She enjoyed swimming, gardening, camping, traveling, crocheting, quilting and her greatest joy was socializing with family and friends.

She retired from K-Mart in 1998.

Survivors include her children, Debra Pickens, Sherrie Wright, Alan (Kim) Kreider, stepchildren, Michael (Tammy) Myers, and Terry Chase; 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, first husband Raymond Kreider, second husband Pete Myers and siblings, Patricia Ring and John David Hathaway.

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, January 15, 2023 at Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut where family will receive friends from 1:00 until the time of service at the funeral home.

Private family burial will take place in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, North Kingsville.

Memorial contributions may be made to Penn Line Church of Christ.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
