Edilberto C. "Eddie" Tagle

Edilberto “Eddie” Capacio Tagle, Jr., 67, of Conneaut, was called to Heaven on Monday, January 27, 2020. Eddie was born in Tagkawayan, Quezon Philippine Island on December 28, 1952, and was the son of Edilberto and Soledad Tagle.

Eddie immigrated to the United States in 1970 and became a naturalized citizen in 1976. He resided in Conneaut while employed as a heating and air condition installer in Geauga, Lake, and Cuyahoga Counties. Eddie enjoyed working on old Volkswagons. He had built a dune buggy using a VW engine which he showed at various car shows including Township Park. Eddie enjoyed giving rides to people in his dune buggy. He also enjoyed parties and get togethers where he would spoil his nephews and nieces, grand-nephews and grand-nieces. He especially enjoyed Filipino parties where he would speak Tagalog and enjoy Filipino cuisine. Eddie was very fond of his canine friend “Chewy” who had given him many years of happiness.

Eddie will be remembered as a good person with a quick wit and sense of humor and was always willing to help out anyone with any project. He was very devoted to his family and will be missed at the family functions.

Survivors include his sisters and brothers Jousielyn (Juanito) Noscal of the Philippines, Gilbert (Denise) Tagle of Conneaut, Melchor (Sheila) Tagle of the Philipines, Emy (Anthony) Emery of Conneaut, Al (Jeannie) Tagle of Conneaut, Maria Fe Tagle of Maryland, and Mario (Tina) Tagle of Geneva; his aunt in Chicago, Auntie Poning and her daughters Elizabeth (Ike) and Becky. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, grand-nephews, and grand-nieces and nieces and nephews and cousins from the Philippines.

Visitation will be 5-7 PM, Thursday, January 30, 2020 at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut.

Contributions may be made to the Conneaut Senior Center. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
