Elizabeth A. (Kennedy) Walker

Elizabeth A. (Kennedy) Walker, 76, of Conneaut, passed away on November 1, 2025. She was born on December 3, 1948, in Conneaut, OH, to Frank and Grace (Deriar) Kennedy.

Though classified as a homemaker for much of her adult life, Elizabeth elevated care-taking to an art form—especially in the way she compassionately supported elderly family members and friends. Those who knew her described Liz as exceptionally kind, deeply caring, and always willing to lend a helping hand.

Elizabeth was also a proud and accomplished Maltese dog breeder under the name Sho-Tyme Maltese. Many of her beloved dogs were shown internationally, earning top honors in competitions. She cherished the time she spent showing her dogs and spoiled each of them with boundless affection—so much so that she often caught herself calling her daughter, Sarah, by one of their names.

Elizabeth was a devoted and loving mother whose encouragement, generosity, and unwavering support shaped the life of her beloved daughter, Sarah (Paul Harvey) Walker, who resides in Bay Village, OH. From a young age, she nurtured Sarah's creative spirit, teaching her the very first three-note song on a beautiful cherry-wood piano—an early moment that blossomed into Sarah's lifelong passion for the Arts.

As Sarah grew, Elizabeth remained her steadfast champion. She delighted in attending her daughter's performances throughout adulthood, including cherished recitals at Willow Arts. Some of Elizabeth's happiest moments were spent watching Sarah and Paul perform together. She expressed immense pride not only in their artistic accomplishments but also in their commitment to offering compassionate support to those facing mental-health challenges.

Preceding her in death are her parents and her brothers, Larry P. and Alan Kennedy. She is survived by her nieces Lynn (Bob) Nowiki, Sue Ann (Ed) Heys, Polly (Bob) Hunter, and Kelly (Randy) Rowe; her nephews Doug Kennedy (Paula) and David Kennedy; and many great and great-great nieces and nephews, all of whom she adored. She frequently shared on social media the joy they brought into her life.

Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, December 6, 2025, at The Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, OH, which has the honor of being entrusted with her arrangements. 

Visitation will begin at 2:00 PM until the time of the service at 3:00 PM.

Memorial contributions may be made in Elizabeth's name to the American Maltese Rescue or Homesafe Inc. Domestic Violence Shelter. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home, or donations may be made through the organizations' respective websites.
