Frances P. "Pat" (McManus) Ricaurte

Frances P. “Pat” Ricaurte, 91, of Conneaut, passed away Wednesday afternoon, March 29, 2023. She was born August 2, 1931 in Poughkeepsie, New York, the daughter of Frank John and Helen (Tibbets) McManus.

Pat went to school at Lenox Hill Medical Center in Manhattan, NY, where she became an RN. She worked as a surgical nurse for a urologist office and was certified in chemical dependency counseling. She also received her degree in Psychology from Gannon University and graduated summa cum laude.

Pat was a member of Corpus Christi Parish, where she was a member of the St. Mary’s Choir and a Cantor for Mass. She was also a member of the Conneaut Community Center Choir and the Conneaut Music Club. She loved books, gardening, music, as well as singing, choirs, and the piano. Her greatest enjoyment was being with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband Dr. Jorge Ricaurte, whom she married in 1954; her sons Patrick (Barb) Ricaurte of Columbus, Christopher (Laurie) Ricaurte of Chicago, Dr. Mark (Teresa) Ricaurte of Columbus, and Dr. Frank Ricaurte of Westlake; daughters Helen Ricaurte of Columbus, and Anne Ricaurte of Conneaut; grandchildren Maria, Michael, Anthony, Sophia, and Frank; and her sister Rosemary (David) McNitt of Rochester, NY.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son George Ricaurte; and her sisters Helen Swords and Mary Ellen McManus.

Chapel service will be 4:00 PM, Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Rt. 20, North Kingsville, OH, with Deacon Nicholas Iarocci officiating.
